In Town Skill? - Guild Wars Forums

As far as I have played, skills cant be used in town.
However, in presear Ascalon, I saw a Wa/Ranger start glowing then a large golden deer's head appear then fade. I don't know what skill it was and I was unable to hit the print screen fast enough as to get any pic.
Glitch? Most likely, I am aware of that.
Just wondering if anyone knows what this skill might be though.

That is nothing more than a /rank emote. When you participate in a Tomb of the Primeval Kings battle, for every battle you win, you get a certain amount of fame. Once you get enough fame, you get a rank. Once you get to rank 3, 6, or 9 you can use the /rank emote to do a certain animation. The Deer's head is the emote for rank 3.

Is it possible to lose rank after you get it, say by losing battles?
